...Community State Bank of Galva has announced the dtes of its Community Service Days in 2008. OSF and Heartland will provide the following services at CSB's downtown Galva office at 300 Main St., from 9 to 11 a.m. on the dates following: May 6 - blood pressure, blood cholesterol and bone density; June 3 - blood pressure; July 1 - blood pressure, blood cholesterol; August 5 - blood pressure; September - no service day scheduled; October 7 - blood pressure; November 4 - blood pressure, blood sugar; December 2 - blood pressure, blood cholesterol. All services are free of charge except bone density. For more information, call CSB at 932-2147 or 932-8181.

...on May 5, 6 and 7 and 12, 13 and 14 starting in the S. E. and N. E. parts of town then N. W. and ending in the S. W. section of town.
Rusty water can occur in any part of the town during this time. People should run water a few minutes before washing clothes.

Galva Clean Up - May 12 - 17... |

...The City of Galva will be having a clean-up week beginning May 12 and ending May 17 for Galva residents only. All residents are asked to bring items to Galva’s Maintenance Yard to be placed in a roll off which will be provided by Jackson Disposal. Anyone who is handicapped or not able to take their items to the maintenance yard can call City Hall and someone will assist them. Assistance will only be available from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. May 12 – 16th. Items not accepted are anti-freeze, LP tanks, yard waste or any hazardous material. Tires will be accepted at the maintenance yard for a fee (depending on the size of the tire). The maintenance yard will be open extended hours May 12 – 15th from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to allow better response to clean up. May 16th the yard will be open until 3:30 p.m. May 17th the yard will be open from 7:00 to noon. If you have any questions you can call the maintenance yard at 932-3624 from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or City Hall 932-2555 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
